The Fair Work Act 2009 commenced on 1 July 2009 and more changes occurred on the 1st January 2010, 2011, 2012 and now 2013.
It is vital that businesses understand their obligations under the Fair Work ACT 2009. In addition to the new award system and National Employment Standards, unfair dismissal laws now apply to all businesses, unions now h ave much greater rights to enter businesses and look at temployment records and the Fair Work Ombudsman has just commenced a new and extensive auditing campaign.
